The Papillon (French for butterfly) is a small toy breed. Its name is derived from its large butterfly shaped ears and face. These are some of the oldest toy breeds and make very good companions and watch dogs. The Papillion's coat is long and silky with only one layer.
Character//
Owners have often described these tenacious dogs as 'big dogs in little dog suits'. Despite their size, they are capable of walking long distances. This breed is highly energetic and intelligent, reputed to be one of the top ten most intelligent breeds. Despite their size they exhibit surprising athletic ability and perform well in agility competitions.
Size//
Bitch, 20-28cm and weighs 3-4kg. Dog, 20-28cm and weigh approximately 4-5kg.
Health//
