Character//
Loyal, obedient, wanting to please and be with you. A little aloof with strangers and perhaps more of a one-man dog than family pet. A good watch dog. The Breed Standard describes them as "Initially aloof, staunch and affectionate; with an endearing sense of humour and a stable disposition."
Size//
The Breed Standard stipulates the height for dogs at 53-58cm, bitches 51-56cm.
Health//
A healthy breed, with few breed-specific problems. Hip Dysplasia can occur, as can skin allergies. Lifespan is 14 years.
Special Care//
They like to be with their owner and they need stimulation.
Remember! All breed profiles are general and every dog is an individual.
