Breeding for the Eurasier began back in the 1960s but it wasn't until the German Kennel club added the breed in 1972, that the breed became officially recognized. The Eurasier is the product of crossbreeding a Chow Chow, Wolf Spitz and a Samoyed, and was undertaken in order to create 'the perfect pet'.
Character//
Eurasiers are even-tempered dogs with an apprehension towards strangers but not a hint of aggression. They make exceptional family dogs as they are very balanced and relaxed in nature, and seldom bark without cause. The breed is known to be fond of children and can be raised alongside a growing family. The breed possesses a delicate countenance and does not respond well to harsh training.

Dog: 52-60cm, bitch: 48-56cm. Weight - Dog: 23-32kg, bitch: 18-26kg.
Health//
Hip Dysplasia is found in small number of animals, as are a number of eye complaints, however the breed in general is very healthy and individuals frequently live into their teens.
