The English Toy Terrier is now on the register of vulnerable native breeds.

Character//

An alert and inquisitive nature combined with a stubbornness and persistence common with all Terrier-type dogs. They will bond closely with the family but react poorly to mistreatment and boredom.

Size//

25-30cm at the shoulder and a weight of 2.7-3.6kg.

Health//

The only common concerns are relating to skin disorders and appear to be linked to changes in the diet. Reports suggest that the condition is manageable with care.

Special Care//

Bathing should be with a specially formulated shampoo in order to protect the natural oils in their skin as the English Toy Terrier is prone to skin disorders.
